Cambrian Buildings attracts Design Commission for Wales as new tenant on a ten-year lease18th June 2013

One of Cardiff Bay’s most important historic office properties, Cambrian Buildings, has earned the ultimate accolade by attracting the Design Commission for Wales (DCFW Ltd) as its latest tenant.

The Commission, established by the Welsh Government in 2002, is the nation’s champion for good design and a high quality built environment.

Seeking a more sustainable, better value option for its headquarters the Commission selected fourth floor accommodation at the Grade II listed Cambrian Buildings following a city-wide search. Constructed at the turn of the 20th century, the building has been extensively refurbished by its owners London and County to create a high quality contemporary business environment.

Joint agents, national commercial property consultants Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Savills negotiated the terms of the ten year lease. Agents Fletcher Morgan acted for the DCFW along with Morgan Cole.
