Barnardo's takes lease at Cobalt Park, North TynesideOne of the best known children's charities, Barnardo's has leased 4,955 sq ft at Cobalt Park in North Tyneside.

Barnardo's in the North East will be based in the ground floor of Cobalt 13a, a three-storey office building.

The deal, which was brokered by BNP Paribas Real Estate, is the fourth letting at Cobalt Park since the beginning of 2014. G4S has taken 10,000 sq ft at Cobalt 8, Accenture has 10,000 sq ft at Cobalt 15a and IBM has leased 5,000 sq ft at Cobalt Central.

Aidan Baker, director, Newcastle office agency at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “Cobalt Park offers companies of all sizes, operating within all sectors, flexible office space of the highest quality that is supported by unrivalled travel connections. It is great to see a leading charity become the latest arrival at the Park.”

Steve Oversby, director of Barnardo’s in the North East, said: “We are pleased to have found this new accommodation on the Cobalt Business Park. Our current building in Jesmond is no longer fit for purpose and the move is in line with both our strategic objectives as an organisation and the way forward for Barnardo’s in the North East.”
