Winnersh Triangle proves popular with expanding companies in Reading5th June 2014

Winnersh Triangle proves popular with expanding companies in ReadingWinnersh Triangle (formerly known as IQ Winnersh), the 85 acre business park near Reading, owned by real estate investor PATRIZIA, has acquired two new tenants, Evertz UK Ltd and AIT, who have taken a combined 16,000 sq ft, a sure indication of improving economic confidence in the South.

Vail Williams LLP, which helped arrange the new lettings, believes that Winnersh Triangle's flexibility and location helped to attract the new businesses.

Digital broadcast and film product manufacturer Evertz will be moving out of its Reading town centre office into 8,000 sq ft of warehouse space at Winnersh Triangle, where it already has offices at 100 Berkshire Place. Its two leases are now linked until 2021.

Natasha Boyle, Evertz’s management accountant, said: “We wanted to get our stores into a warehouse-type building and be much closer to our main offices at 100 Berkshire Place.”

AIT, which specialises in data centre and secure networking technical services, has also outgrown its Reading centre premises and has also taken 8,000 sq ft of space at Winnersh Triangle.

Steve Bailey, managing director of AIT, said: “Winnersh Triangle is in a superb location with excellent road and rail links, enabling us to fulfil our current expansion plans and better serve our UK-wide customer base.”

Will Lawrie, asset manager for the park at PATRIZIA, said: “These two agreements are a vote of confidence in the strengthening economy and also Winnersh Triangle’s ability to offer flexible, well-connected, well-equipped and high quality premises.

“Current tenants are considering growth strategies, we’re attracting new businesses and the park continues to expand and evolve. It all works towards our aim of becoming the region’s premier business location.”

Over 60 diverse companies with 3,000 employees are based at Winnersh Triangle, including companies such as Jacobs (UK) Ltd, Virgin Media, BMC Software, Microchip, Agilent, Lloyds Bank, WH Smith and Bang & Olufsen (UK) Ltd.

An additional 11 acres is awaiting development.
