Worcestershire insurance broker Balens Ltd is the new owner of the former JobCentre Plus offices in Portland Road, Malvern. The deal was arranged by Midlands property consultancy GJS Dillon on behalf of landlords Stanton Properties.
Toby Fellows of GJS Dillon said: “We had a lot of interest in this well-located office building, including property development companies. As a result, the premises sold for significantly above the guide price of £600,000."
Established in 1950, Balens is a family firm, which specialises in insurance for health, well-being and not-for-profit organisations.
Balens will be doubling its office space when it moves to Portland Road, as the new premises consists of a modern two-story purpose-built office block, covering nearly 7,000 sq ft with 18 parking spaces.
