Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd has moved its 200-strong workforce into 172 Brook Drive, a new, purpose-built headquarters at MEPC's Milton Park in Oxfordshire, which is part of the Government's Science Vale Enterprise Zone.
Planning for the 40,000 sq ft building took over two years, but the build was completed in just six months, finishing in July 2014, ready for Crowcon to take possession in August.
Formerly based at Abingdon Business Park for over 25 years, Crowcon has taken a 15-year lease on 172 Brook Drive and is the first significant pre-let in the Enterprise Zone.
Mike Ophield, managing director, Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd, explained: “After more than two years’ planning, I am really delighted to see our brand new facility come to life. As an international company, we are fortunate that Milton Park is both a hub for science and innovation and an excellent location with great transport links.”
