The next phase of Knightstone Housing's Firepool Lock development in Taunton, Somerset, has received planning permission.
Work will begin in March 2015 on the development of 24 affordable homes, which are being built in partnership with Abbey Manor Developments Ltd, the Homes and Communities Agency and Taunton Deane Borough Council.
The development will be built next to Waterside House by Mi-Space, who will be constructing 22 homes for rent and two homes for shared ownership. The houses will come with private gardens and there will be communal outdoor areas for the apartments.
Mike Day, Director of Development and Homeownership at Knightstone said: "We’re proud to be leading the way on this next phase in the wider regeneration of Firepool Lock.
These 24 new homes will provide more, much needed affordable housing in the area. We’re looking forward to helping this community to flourish in the months and years to come."
