Resumption of Flights
Emirates Airlines is resuming flights at scale despite a recent Iranian attack on Dubai airport. The airline is prioritizing links to the UK and India, with multiple daily arrivals scheduled from London Heathrow to Dubai starting March 9.
Emirates expects a return to 100% of its network within the coming days, subject to airspace availability. Currently, the airline is selling tickets for flights between Dubai and eight British airports, indicating a strong focus on restoring these critical routes.
Current Operations
Limited flights resumed on March 2, prioritizing customers with earlier bookings. However, all other Emirates flights remain suspended until further notice. Eligible customers can rebook on alternate flights or request a refund, ensuring that those affected have options during this period of uncertainty.
In a statement, Emirates Airlines emphasized, “Safety, as ever, remains paramount as is our duty of care.” This reflects the airline’s commitment to passenger safety in light of the recent events.
Support for Stranded Passengers
In response to the situation, Qatar Airways has also planned six passenger flights to Doha, providing additional support for travelers. However, these flights do not constitute a confirmation of resumption of scheduled commercial operations, as stated by Qatar Airways.
As of now, 814 stranded Indians have been brought to Kolkata, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by travelers in the region.

While Emirates Airlines is making strides to resume its operations, the exact date for the full resumption of all flights is not confirmed. The status of flights from other regions remains unclear, leaving many passengers awaiting further updates.
