What We Know About onet: Political Trust Rankings and Migration Issues

The Market is Talking About Political Trust Rankings

The latest survey indicates that Karol Nawrocki remains the leader in political trust rankings, holding a positive evaluation of 48.8%. However, this figure suggests that his position may not be as secure as previously thought. With only a slight increase of 1.1 percentage points since January, the February measurement is the first clear signal that Nawrocki’s political standing could be genuinely threatened.

Radosław Sikorski follows closely with a trust rating of 46.7%, marking a notable increase of 2.7 percentage points. This places him within less than 2 percentage points of Nawrocki, representing one of the smallest gaps since the beginning of Nawrocki’s term. Notably, Sikorski has a lower negative trust rating, with only 37% of respondents expressing distrust.

Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister, retains the third position in the rankings with a trust rating of 41.2%, reflecting a slight decline of 0.5 percentage points from January. Meanwhile, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, the Speaker of the Sejm, maintains his fourth place with a trust rating of 41%, indicating resilience despite recent controversies surrounding his business connections.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, rounds out the top five with a trust rating of 39.7%. He surpasses Krzysztof Bosak, who holds a trust rating of 36.2%.

Migration Issues Under Discussion

In a separate but equally pressing matter, there are discussions regarding tunnels utilized by migrants for illegal border crossings between Poland and Belarus. Reports suggest that these tunnels may have been designed by experts from the Middle East, hired by the regime of Alexander Lukashenko to enhance methods for smuggling individuals into Poland. This information has been relayed by Polish officials in conversations with The Telegraph.
