Ed Gamble Hosts New Comedy Panel Show Unacceptable

Ed Gamble is set to host the new comedy panel show Unacceptable, which will air on TLC this summer. This new format is designed to engage audiences by featuring two teams of comedians competing to convince a live studio audience of their opinions. With six episodes planned, the show aims to bring a fresh perspective to the comedy panel genre.

The production of Unacceptable is handled by Ranga Bee Productions, a company known for its innovative approach to entertainment. Gamble expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I’m absolutely buzzing to be hosting this brand-new format for TLC.” His involvement is expected to draw in viewers who are familiar with his work in the comedy scene.

Joining Gamble on the show are team captains Richard Ayoade and Joanne McNally, both of whom have established themselves as prominent figures in the comedy world. Their participation is anticipated to enhance the dynamic of the show, as they bring their unique styles and perspectives to the competition.

In addition to Unacceptable, TLC has also recommissioned the popular comedy show Mock the Week for a second series, set to air in September 2026. The first series of Mock the Week returned to TLC in February 2026 and has averaged over 600K viewers, indicating a strong audience interest in comedy programming on the channel.

Hosted by Dara Ó Briain, Mock the Week has been well-received, with fans expressing excitement over its return. Ó Briain humorously remarked, “What? Another series? I thought we’d solved all the world’s problems in this series. Oh, all right. Bring me more news!” This light-hearted banter reflects the show’s engaging nature and its ability to resonate with viewers.

The second series of Mock the Week will include 11 episodes, featuring Christmas and end-of-year specials, further expanding its reach and appeal. Graham Lafferty, a representative of TLC, stated, “We are also hugely excited to confirm a second series of Mock the Week for TLC this Autumn,” highlighting the network’s commitment to delivering quality comedy content.

Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland has been actively enhancing its comedy entertainment offerings with the launch of TLC, aiming to attract a diverse audience. The success of shows like Mock the Week and the upcoming Unacceptable indicates a growing appetite for comedy programming within the network’s portfolio.

As the summer premiere of Unacceptable approaches, audiences are eager to see how this new format will unfold and whether it can capture the same level of interest as its predecessors. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific air date, but anticipation is building for what promises to be an exciting addition to TLC’s lineup.
