The LEGO Tintin Moon Rocket is set to be released on April 1, 2026, featuring a total of 1,283 pieces and priced at $159.99. This highly anticipated set is inspired by the classic Tintin comic books, particularly Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon.
The rocket showcases a distinctive red-and-white chequered design and includes six minifigures: Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson, Thompson, and Snowy. It also features a hidden control room that allows builders to recreate the moment Tintin and his crew first saw Earth from space.
The set was designed by fan designer Alexis Dos Santos, who submitted his concept through the LEGO Ideas program. His design garnered 10,000 votes and was subsequently approved by the LEGO Ideas Review Board, marking a significant achievement in fan engagement.
In a statement, Dos Santos expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Creating the Tintin Moon Rocket has been an incredible journey. I hope the build sparks the same sense of imagination and adventure that inspired me from the very beginning.”
