Arsenal’s transfer movements
As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal is reportedly making early moves to secure new players. The club is said to have agreed personal terms with Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga. Reports indicate that Monga, a 16-year-old winger, is viewed as one of the top young prospects in English football and has attracted interest from numerous clubs in England and Europe. While Arsenal has reportedly agreed personal terms, a deal with Leicester is still being worked on, with the possibility of a transfer fee being determined by a tribunal.
Arsenal‘s pursuit of Monga follows a season where they were crowned Premier League champions. Their success, coupled with a run to the Champions League final, has reportedly boosted their summer transfer budget. Beyond Monga, Arsenal continues to be linked with several other players, including Emmanuel Mbemba from PSG, who is believed to favour a move to the Emirates Stadium. Other names associated with Arsenal include Morgan Rogers, Julian Alvarez, Eli Junior Kroupi, and Morgan Gibbs-White, though Dani Olmo appears set to remain at Barcelona.
Chelsea and Manchester United’s pursuits
Chelsea is reportedly intensifying talks to make Dusan Vlahovic their first signing of the Xabi Alonso era. Additionally, Dean Henderson is also said to be on their radar. Meanwhile, Manchester United may be leading the race for Morgan Rogers. However, securing Adam Wharton could involve a significant fee, with Manchester City also preparing a second bid for Elliot Anderson.
Manchester United is also reportedly looking to challenge Arsenal for Sandro Tonali, should the Italian midfielder decide to leave Newcastle this summer. Newcastle is reportedly seeking a substantial compensation fee if Tonali departs. Furthermore, Manchester United could offer Cristian Romero a new home, as Tottenham is reportedly looking to move him on. Reports from Argentina suggest United is preparing a bid for the centre-back, who faced criticism for his defensive performances and perceived lack of leadership skills this season.
Other notable transfer developments
Tottenham is poised to add Marcos Senesi, having already welcomed Andy Robertson. The club is also thought to have agreed personal terms with both Jan Paul van Hecke and Savinho. However, it would be a surprise to see Micky van de Ven leave Tottenham this summer, as the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi is said to have encouraged him regarding the club’s long-term direction, despite criticism of his performances this season.
Real Madrid is reportedly planning a significant move for Michael Olise and is expected to appoint Jose Mourinho as manager following Florentino Perez‘s re-election as club president. Mourinho has reportedly provided Real Madrid with a transfer wishlist, including Riccardo Calafiori and Josko Gvardiol, as he aims to overhaul the team’s defence before the new La Liga campaign. The club has already brought in Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate, with the latter arriving on a free transfer. Real Madrid is also reportedly interested in Alexis Mac Allister of Liverpool, who has a reported price tag of £55m.
Liverpool could swiftly reunite Rayan with Andoni Iraola, while also considering Wharton and a swap deal for Yan Diomande. In other news, Kieran Trippier has signed for Wolves on a two-year deal, moving on a free transfer after four years with Newcastle. Aston Villa is progressing in negotiations to sign Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG, with the move viewed as increasingly probable by all parties. Crystal Palace is pursuing Pierre Sage, the 47-year-old French coach from Lens, and is also reportedly preparing a bid of around £20m for Hayden Hackney, though Middlesbrough is expected to reject this offer, valuing the player at £25m.
