Row K Faces Leadership Changes Amid Financial Challenges

Row K is currently reappraising its business model after facing significant financial losses, including a staggering $10 million from the January release of ‘Dead Man’s Wire’. This has prompted discussions about potential leadership changes, with senior executives, including Megan Colligan, reportedly in talks to leave the company.

The situation has raised concerns within the industry, especially as Row K is backed by Media Capital Technologies (MCT) and has recently acquired four films at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Among these, ‘Poetic License’ will be put back on the market after being championed by Colligan, who has played a pivotal role in the company’s recent projects.

In a different part of the community, a fire incident occurred at Inferno, a sun bed business on the Antrim Road. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7pm, and local resident Cathy Toal shared her experience, stating, “I got a call at about 7pm about the fire. When I got here, the place was cordoned off and the fire service were here already.” Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.

Meanwhile, in a heartwarming display of community spirit, Sean Phelps and Jonny Towers have completed an impressive 3,200-mile rowing journey from Lanzarote to Antigua. The duo arrived a day ahead of schedule, greeted by cheering crowds. They have raised £15,928.84 of their £50,000 target for charity, supporting organizations like Care After Combat and Samaritans.

Sean expressed his motivation for the challenge, saying, “I think it’s an amazing thing to do and I’ve watched a few events and I want to just make my family proud of that, proud of their dad and husband.” Jonny added, “To support the two great charities we’re doing it for – Care After Combat and Samaritans – we’ve both lost friends through mental health problems and suicide.”

The community continues to rally around these charitable efforts, highlighting the importance of support systems in times of need. As Row K navigates its challenges, the resilience and camaraderie of local residents shine through.
