Tori Amos Releases First Single from New Album
Legendary US pianist, singer, and composer Tori Amos has released the first single, “Stronger Together,” from her forthcoming album In Times Of Dragons. The track features backing vocals from her daughter, Tash, and is described as an atmospheric, emotionally charged piece that sets the tone for the album, which blends myth, political allegory, and personal storytelling.
Significance of the Release
The album, set to be released on May 1 by Universal/Fontana, introduces ten distinct characters, each linked to a track. “Stronger Together” serves as an introduction to one of these characters, The Daughter, and conveys a message of resilience, connection, and empowerment for daughters. Amos elaborated on the album’s themes, stating that it reflects the current dangerous times, where democracy is at risk.

In support of her new LP, Amos recently performed at the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room in London, where she debuted “Stronger Together” live, alongside her classic hit “Cornflake Girl” and covers of the Rolling Stones’ “Beast Of Burden” and Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’.” Fans can look forward to the full album release and more performances as the release date approaches.
