The workout is designed to test athletes’ strength and endurance through a series of demanding exercises, including overhead walking lunges, dumbbell snatches, pull-ups, chest-to-bar pull-ups, and ring muscle-ups.

In this workout, athletes must complete 80 feet of overhead walking lunges in 20-foot segments, followed by a series of dumbbell snatches and pull-ups. For those opting for a scaled version, lighter weights and jumping pull-ups are available, while the Foundations version includes walking lunges, bent-over rows, and ring rows.

Lucy Campbell, Aimee Cringle, and Mirjam von Rohr were the first athletes to tackle Workout 26.2. Campbell, who was in second place for much of the workout, managed to clinch victory in the final moments, finishing ahead of Cringle and von Rohr, who took second and third place, respectively.

The deadline for video submissions for Workout 26.2 is set for March 9th at 5 p.m. PT. Athletes across the globe are encouraged to submit their performances, as the top 25% of performers from the three CrossFit Open workouts will qualify for the Quarterfinals.

The 2026 CrossFit Open has already seen a successful first week, with the previous workout being one of the most challenging in recent years. As the competition progresses, anticipation builds for the next workout announcement.

Looking ahead, Open Workout 26.3 is scheduled to be announced on March 12th, promising to bring further excitement and challenges to the athletes participating in this year’s Open.
