Cynthia Erivo Wins Two Awards at the Queerties Awards

Cynthia Erivo won two awards at the 14th annual LGBTQ Queerties Awards held on March 10, 2026, in Los Angeles. The ceremony celebrated LGBTQ+ media and culture, with Erivo receiving accolades for her Film Performance in ‘Wicked: For Good’ and for her memoir ‘Simply More’.

The Queerties Awards, which have been held annually since 2012, recognize outstanding contributions to LGBTQ+ representation in media. The winners are determined by millions of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies who vote for their favorite performances and cultural moments.

This year’s ceremony was hosted by Trixie Mattel, a prominent figure in the LGBTQ+ community. During the event, Lady Gaga’s ‘Abracadabra’ was awarded best anthem, while ‘Heated Rivalry’ was named best TV Drama. Special honors were also presented to notable figures such as Margaret Cho, Megan Stalter, and Mae Martin.

Scott Gatz, a representative of the Queerties, remarked, “The Queerties represent the true voice of our community,” emphasizing the significance of the awards in reflecting the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals. He further stated, “These winners were chosen by millions of LGBTQ+ people and allies who see themselves reflected in these stories, performances, and cultural moments.”

The awards ceremony will be available for streaming on WOW Presents Plus starting March 19, allowing a wider audience to engage with the celebrated performances and moments from the LGBTQ+ community.

As the Queerties continue to grow in prominence, they serve as an important platform for recognizing and honoring the diverse voices within the LGBTQ+ media landscape. Cynthia Erivo’s achievements at this year’s event highlight her impactful contributions to both film and literature.
